This dissatisfaction arises from a multitude of issues, including poor foundational work, structural integrity problems, subpar material choices, electrical and plumbing inadequacies, roofing issues, and the builder's neglect of permits, safety regulations, and design specifications. Furthermore, their lack of professionalism is evident through missed deadlines, poor communication, and unresolved punch list items. Overall, this critique serves as a cautionary tale, emphasizing the necessity for meticulous builder selection and project oversight.
Dissatisfaction with the builder by many clients goes far beyond minor inconveniences or typical construction challenges. Multiple issues by multiple clients collectively paint a picture of a builder who exhibited a lack of professionalism, expertise, and commitment to quality throughout the construction process. We find it imperative to shed light on these grievances, not only for our own sake but also as a cautionary tale for others embarking on similar endeavors.
Since the beginning of the construction, I have witnessed countless delays and a lack of significant progress. This has had a negative impact on both my personal and financial life.
Major delays, lack of attention and communication. The responses to my inquiries were vague and unclear, and the lack of regular updates.
One of the most egregious shortcomings of the builder was the shoddy work on the foundation. The uneven concrete surface, cracks that appeared within months of completion, and a complete disregard for proper drainage have raised serious concerns about the long-term stability and safety of my house.
Timeliness was another major concern. The builder consistently missed deadlines.
Numerous excuses were provided, and my project was abandoned after 18 months, with less than half of the work completed. I had to finish it with another builder, incurring an additional cost of $100,000 beyond my initial budget.
